Monica's One Sheet of Paper Class. Managed to make 8 cards from one sheet of paper to which you stamp your image on. I used a stampin up stamp set and dark blue, light blue and green inks, and of course the obligatory board punch.

Monicas Class again, made this cute little gift box with 10x10 thankyou notes inside. Think I will be making a few of these, especially with Mothers Day and a few of my girlfriends birthdays coming. up.

Steps Make and Take

Okay, I know I haven't blogged for a while, but I had to tell you about the fab saturday afternoon I had at the weekend. Lovely Steph held a Christmas 'Make and Take' in Essex. We made three cards and a rather cool gift box. Here's the link to her Brilliant blog so you can have a peek. If you haven't seen her blog before boy are you in for a treat, she makes some truly brilliant cards and quiet a few 3d items too. I'm now cyber stalking her Goodle reader.

I also met, Kare, Aimes and Caryn who were brilliant running around find stuff for us and my craft buddy Jeannette, {{{Waves}}} who everytime she went into her craft bag, pulled out another must have craft item, so thanks to her I've now added to my ever increasing christmas list a scorepal cutting mat, a WRMK corner chomper (fab) and a few more must have items from Stampin up, things I missed, how did that happen.

Look out Steven Spielberg

In the last week of the easter holidays DS took part in a week long course of 'Focus of the Arts'. Part of the course was to create your own animation. Boys being boys and 11 years at that, they decided to do Lego of course, and Indiana Jones. Well at the weekend it found its way onto Youtube.

Here's the link, and if you get time can you post a comment on the Youtube post, just for the boys.

May already

OMG 1st of May already, what happend to Janury, February, March and April, and where was I when it happened.

Finished reading the book The Story of Forgetting - Stefan Merrill. Though the subject of the book was Alzheimers which can been a bit hard, I throughly enjoyed it. The plot of the book was through the eyes of a 15 year old boy who mother had Alzheimers from her early 40s and his experience in the early stages and trying to find out for himself what the disease is all about. Good Read, definately staying on my bookshelf. Books stay on there only if they are good, otherwise its straight to the charity shop.

Now for a piccie, Ok hands up how many of you have had to do this some time or another. So glad I put the cardboard down before hand. Don't know who enjoyed it more, DH or DS.

Been away for a While Now!!

Ok haven't been on here much lately, things to do, people to see, I've decided that this is going to be a bit of everything blog not just crafts. Soooo here goes.

First things first, as you can probably hear, I've now added some music, only taken me three months to work out how to do it, give me another three months and I might be able to add a flicker photo thingy too.

Last march I started up a book group with a couple of friends and mums from DS school, well its still going strong, even with all our busy lives, we meet up once every six weeks, each taking in turn, and the one whose house it is gets to choose the book. The last one was mine so I chose The Story of Forgetting - Stefan Merrill. Ok confession, I chose it because I like the front cover, it could almost be a scrapbook page. I let you know what its like.

Spent the weekend sorting out my craft cabin, bought some cheap little white drawers from the pound shop, and now have organised embellishments. Finally decided that I don't need my clip-it-up, so I'm going to sell it of UKS, when I get around to taking a picture.

Decorating DS bedroom, decided that as he was now 11 (where have those years gone) it was about time we updating his room, so we've taken down the Laura Ashley boat boarder, that took almost a day, I think we must of put it up with superglue.

UK Scrappers Cyber Crop

Well its cyber crop time, and I was all prepared apart from my photos not arriving in time from photobox. Think it could be more the postal service than them. Oh well, I've done the best I can and when they finally arrive I will upload on here. Its been great fun and once again I've been so out of my comfort zone, It has made me realise one thing I don't do enough. Well off to finish a LO and watch a bit of the rugby.

Snow Snow Snow

Ok 42 year old women are not meant to fly down snowy hills on a bit of plastic at 100 mph and think they will feel no pain afterwards.

We had such a fab day yesterday, hubby and son along with some close friends of ours walk to the 18th hole of the local golf course to find the best tobogganing run ever. We spent most of the day there, only coming home for a bite to eat at lunch time.

At one stage DH thought he was in the British bobsleigh team and came flying head first off a jump only to stand up and say he a broken a rib, didn't stop him carrying on though. I think its just bruised.

Check it out below

My friend Jenny and I decided to come down together on one sledge, we screamed and laughed all the way down. No very ladylike I might add. One of the other dad's there who we didn't know came up to us and said it was one of the funniest things he's ever seen.

DS absolutely loved it, he thought it was the best day ever, mind you he said that about monday when we had a huge snowball fight in the middle of the street with the neighbours. But boy did he sleep well last night.

Wey Hey, its snowed today, all day I might add which has been wonderful, we've had at least 12". It was so deep in some places that the snow came up past DS knees, but oh what fun we've had especially as he's had no school today and we've just been told the school is closed tomorrow too. DH spent 20 minutes trying to de-snow the car this morning only to find it wouldn't back off the drive. It took him 4 hours to get into work this morning and two hours to get home, it usually only takes him and hour.

Did my first Cyber Crop and really enjoyed it, though it did make me think outside the box. I only wished I had had more time, will really need to get my act together next time.

Love this one, its of Roddys Grandparents at our Wedding, and its one of the few pictures we have of his Grandmother who has sinced died. His Grandfather will be 100 in November. This class was titled layer cake.

Not a big fan of orange but I love this one of Oliver and Robbie the rabbit his best friend.

This one was the Banana Frog class.
I saw these cabins at a County show about four years ago, and just fell in love with them. As the were more money that a normal garden shed, I started saving, hence why its only just finished. So last Summer I took delivery of my cabin, on two huge pallets, it took DH and I one whole weekend to sort out and check all the pieces and to square off the base. Two more weekends to put up the cabin layer by layer, 22 layers in all and to put the roof on and stain it. Yes we are still speaking. My task was deck it out as cheap as possible. So I begged, borrowed and stole, well almost!
I keep it warm by a small plug-in radiator on a timer. Not sure how long I will have this for as DH and DS have their eyes on it for doing their airfix and warhammer in.

A brilliant bargin from Ikea, a 99p curtain pole with brackets that hold all my large ribbon spools, in the distance you can just see the large ikea storage jars that i hold all my 12" boarders.

Slimfast tins, diet didn't work but the tins have come in handy, they hold my pencils, gel pens and watercolour pencils.

Storage jar holding ribbons and blooms from Ikea, little 3 drawer united on shelf £1 from poundland these hold all my chipboard alphas. Rub boxes with all those little bits and bobs of emblishments. Just seen on the right handside, Argos cake stand holding all my little ink pads. Underneath mdf worktop is a chest of drawers holding my sewing needs, my tote and sewing machine
Another Ikea bargain corner find £5, it had a scratch along the back. Paper rack second hand from local scrapbooking shop.
Spice racks on walls, £2 from asda, blonde book shelf with cricut on ikea bargin corner. K&Co bag, I have a thing about bags, more about that later.
